১০০ সদস্যের বাংলাদেশী যুব প্রতিনিধিদলের ভারত সফর ২০১৮

High Commission of India in Dhaka organized visit of a 100-member Youth Delegation from Bangladesh to India from 24 March to 01 April, 2018. 

The objective of the visit is to expose youth of Bangladesh to India’s history, its cultural traditions and its socio-economic development.  It is hoped that the visit would contribute to greater people-to-people contacts.  The participants for this Youth Delegation have been selected from leading institutions/organizations of Bangladesh such as Dhaka University, BRAC University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Independent University, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Chittagong University, Rajshahi University etc.

This year marks the sixth year of the Bangladesh Youth Delegations’ visit to India. The first such Bangladesh Youth Delegation had visited India in 2012, and this programme has been continuing every year since then. Members of the 2018 delegation include 52 young Bangladeshi women and 48 young Bangladeshi men, drawn from different regions of the country, diverse backgrounds and educational institutions of Bangladesh. They comprise of doctors, artists, sportspersons, journalists, engineers, models, radio jockeys, humanities and science students, social workers, among others.
