Mr. Pankaj Saha is a Poet, Media Personality, Former Producer of BBC London & former Director of Doordarshan Kendra (Television India), Kolkata & Santiniketan. He is an eminent researcher on Tagore. He regularly writes research-based articles and delivers lectures in Universities and in important events.           ‘Bhanushingher Padabali’ is a book of poems in Maithili written by Rabindranath Tagore at a very young age and was his first published work. Padabalis are a devotional genre of Vaishnava poems which narrate mythological stories about the eternal lovers Radha and Krishna. On an esoteric level, Radha is understood to be the individual soul that petulantly feels abandoned by God, symbolised by Krishna, who loves all souls and is therefore accused of infidelity by Radha. Finally Radha overcomes her pain and rejoins her lover in passionate union which symbolises union with the Divine.

Dance Director of Bhanushingher Padabali is Samina Husain Prema who, along with Zeenat Afroza, founded Bhabna Dance School. Samina got her initial training in Manipuri dance from Chhayanaut Sangeet Vidyayatan with 1st class. Later she got advanced and special training from the renowned exponent of Manipuri dance, Guru Kalavati Devi. She has also done Post Graduation in Manipuri dance from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.

All are cordially invited to attend the programme. Entry is open to all (there is no need to collect Invitation Pass).
