​​IGCC organises an Evening of Gaudiya Nritya by Ayan Mukherjee and Satabdi Acharyya from India at Kobi Sufia Kamal Auditorium, Bangladesh National Museum, Shahbagh, Dhaka at 6.30 PM on 16 May, 2017 

          Indira Gandhi Culture Centre is organising an Evening of Gaudiya Nritya by Ayan Mukherjee and Satabdi Acharyya from India at Kobi Sufia Kamal Auditorium, Bangladesh National Museum, Shahbagh, Dhaka at 6.30 PM on 16 May, 2017. 

Mr. Ayan Mukherjee was initially inspired in dance and music by his parents Mr. Amitava Mukherjee and Mrs. Mahua Mukherjee, renowned singer and dancer. He has performed Gaudiya Nritya in different venues in India such as Pratibha Utsav, organised by EZCC, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in Kolkata, Mumbai, Jodhpur and Delhi; organised by Committee on Cultural Heritage, Ministry of Railway, Government of India; at Chandigarh, organised by Government of Haryana and in many other states of India. He has also performed Gaudiya Nritya in many countries such as Singapore, USA, Russia and Bangladesh. He has also directed dance for NCC cadet organised by Indian Army and directed music for dance dramas like Meghnad Badh Kavya, Buddhacharit etc. He has received several awards like Dr. Manmohan Ghosh gold medal from Rabindra Bharati University and North American Bengal Conference, Senior National Scholarship on Gaudiya Nritya from Ministry of Culture, Government of India etc. Mr. Ayan Mukherjee has also done his M. Tech. degree in Radio Physics & Electronics and M. Sc. in Electronics Science from University of Calcutta, West Bengal, India. 

Ms. Shatabdi Acharya has learnt dance forms from renowned dancers like Mahua Mukherjee, Shri Naresh Banerjee, Late Shri Mukundadas Bhattacharya, Sri Sashi Mahato and Srimati Anita Mallick. She has performed in different venues like Natyanjali Dance Festival, Chidambaram, Nazrul Janmotsav organized by Government of West Bengal, Nazrul Mela organized by Kavitirtha West Bengal, Dance Ballet at Purbashree Auditorium of EZCC and many other states in India and Bangladesh. She has received several awards like Pandit Subhankar Award by Gaudiya Nritya Prasar Samity in 2009, West Bengal State Music Academy award etc. She has conducted many workshops and directed dance ballets. She is the founder of the dance institution ‘Bikramshila’. Ms. Satabdi Acharyya has also done Master of Arts in English from University of Calcutta. 

All are cordially invited to attend the programme. Entry is open to all (there is no need to collect Invitation Pass).
