 Launch of ‘MOITRY’

 The High Commission of India, Dhaka is pleased to announce the launching of Moitry, an alumni association of Bangladeshi students who studied in India. Every year, a large number of students from Bangladesh go to India for educational purposes to pursue their studies in various disciplines like science, engineering, fine arts, business studies etc. After completing their studies in India, imbibing the Indian way of life and our common heritage and culture, they return home and make immense contribution to the development of Bangladesh. Many of them also head to third countries, carrying the message of India-Bangladesh friendship. MOITRY has been formed keeping that in mind, and to bring all those who have studied in India on a common platform. MOITRY’ is a non-political, non-commercial, social organization. Its purpose is to foster, maintain and support a mutually beneficial relationship among the alumni and the present Bangladeshi students who are currently studying in India. MOITRY aims to be a dynamic, member-focused organization, directed towards supporting the social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of all of its present and future members. Moitry shall work to uphold the honor, dignity and development of Bangladesh through its actions and seek to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Bangladesh and India, which has been established through our shared history and culture and has been further nourished during the student days of the Moitry members in India. MOITRY’s Vision is: Connect, Engage, Succeed & Celebrate.

 The formal launch of Moitry will be on 30th November, 2017 at 6 pm with a grand event at the High Commission of India, Dhaka.  The event is being organized in association with the High Commission of India. H.E. Mr. Harsh Vardhan Shringla, the Hon’ble High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh has consented to grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.Members and friends of Moitry from all walks of life will be present on the occasion, which will also feature a cultural programme by some members of Moitry.
